Mr. Curyer has over 20 years experience in the resources and corporate sector. Mr. Curyer is the founder, President & Chief Executive Officer of NexGen Energy Ltd. and was previously the Chief Financial Officer and head of corporate development of Southern Cross Resources (now Uranium One). In addition, for three years Mr. Curyer was Head of Corporate Development for Accord Nuclear Resource Management assessing uranium projects worldwide for First Reserve Corporation, a global energy -- focused private equity and infrastructure investment firm.
Mr. Curyer's uranium project assessment experience has been focused on assets located in Canada, Australia, USA, Africa, Central Asia and Europe, incorporating operating mines, advanced development projects and exploration prospects. While Chief Financial Officer of Southern Cross Resources (now Uranium One), Mr. Curyer managed the exploration, permitting and feasibility study of the Honeymoon Uranium Project in South Australia, ensuring full compliance with NI43-101 reporting. Mr Curyer has raised over $500 million of equity in North America, US, Europe and Australia.
Mr. Curyer is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia.
President, CEO and Director
Mr. Williams brings more than 15 years of mining and finance industry experience. His diverse work experience includes roles in corporate development, as a sell-side research analyst, in fund management and most recently as managing director of investment banking focused on the metals and mining sector. In each of these roles, he focused a significant amount of time on the exploration industry. As a research analyst at Westwind Partners, Mr. Williams worked with a team that covered a range of commodities including precious and base metals, diamonds and uranium. In late 2008, he joined Pinetree Capital, a natural resource focused investment fund, in the role of VP Business Development. During his time there, he was responsible for analyzing and monitoring investments and was also appointed to the board of directors of several investee companies. In 2012, he joined Dundee Capital Markets (now Eight Capital) in the investment banking group. As a Managing Director, he successfully completed equity financings across a wide range of commodities and was a named advisor on multiple M&A transactions.
Mr. Thiele has over 30 years experience in senior finance roles in medium to large Australian ASX listed companies. He has been Chief Financial Officer for companies involved in the Agribusiness sector (Elders and Viterra) and the Biotechnology sector (Bionomics). In these roles he combined his technical accounting and financial skills with commercial expertise thereby substantially contributing to the growth of each of these businesses. During this time, he was actively involved in IPO's, capital raisings, corporate restructures, mergers and acquisitions, refinancing and joint ventures.
Mr. Thiele is currently non-executive director of a number of non-listed Australian entities, including the role of Chairman of the Finance & Audit Committee for two of these entities.
Mr. Thiele holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy from the University of South Australia and he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
Mr. Milewski has spent his career in various aspects of the mining industry, including as a company director, advisor, founder and investor. In particular, he has been active metals that further decarbonization. Mr. Milewski has managed numerous mining investments at various stages of development, including exploration, development, production and turnaround situations, and across a broad range of commodities. He has also served as a director of both public and private companies and has been seconded as interim CEO on multiple occasions.
Mr. Milewski currently serves as the Chairman of Conic Metals. Previously he served as the Chairman and CEO of Cobalt 27, a Managing Director of the investment team at Pala Investments, and prior to that at Firebird Management LLC. He has lived and worked in Africa and Russia, including a year as a Fulbright scholar, and has spent considerable time in Central Asia.
Mr. Milewski holds a B.A. in Russian history from Brigham Young University, an M.A. in Russian and Central Asian Studies from the University of Washington, and a J.D. from the University of Washington. He holds an LLM from the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Mr. Laufmann has worked in financial markets for the past 25 years, holding positions with Salomon Smith Barney Inc., Citigroup Inc. and HSBC, focusing on capital raising, portfolio management and corporate advisory mandates. Through his career, Mr Laufmann has advised and funded several ASX resource companies from early stage venture capital, through to IPO, and discovery. Mr Laufmann holds an Economics degree from the University of Western Australia.
